At Little Scientists Playgroup, we create a fun and inclusive environment where all children, regardless of their German language skills, can blossom. We offer play based engaging science activities that sparks curiosity and lays a strong foundation for future learning.

Our Playgroup is led by a qualified leader who nurtures children to develop important social skills such as conflict resolution, which is one of the essential building blocks for a seamless transition to kindergarten.

FAQ

How many children will attend the Spielgruppe and how many members of staff will supervise them?

We normally have a teacher for every 6-7 children. This allows us to give the children the necessary level of attention and also allows us to take the children outside for play breaks at lunchtime safely.

Illness

Children with contagious illnesses such as fever, diarrhea, and vomiting should stay at home out of consideration for other children.

In case of absence, please inform the responsible leader in time (illness, vacation, etc…).

There is no reimbursement for holidays outside of school time.

Even in the absence of the child (e.g., illness/vacation), the full amount is payable.

Registrations

Registration is binding and valid until the child enters kindergarten.

Detailed information about your group will be provided at the beginning of the summer holidays, or before the start of the playgroup.

Your child can attend the playgroup on one or more specified days. If attending multiple times, the costs will be cumulatively calculated.

Costs

Billing starts on the 1st day of the month in which the child begins.

Parents have the option to pay the costs in a single annual payment or monthly (12 times a year).

Can I book Individual days?

Parents can book for one or more mornings. To secure your spot, please register on our platform or contact Little Scientists

Drop Off and Pick Up Policy

We remind parents that the doors of the spielgruppe open at 08:00 and that Drop Off is between 08:00 and 08:30 while Pick Up is from 11:45 to 12:00.

Early drop off and late pick up is possible but must be booked in advance and extra fees will be applied. Please contact the Little Scientists Team for more information.

If Little Scientists is not informed in advance of late collection then parents/carers may be charged a late collection fee of 5 CHF for every 5 min over time.

Spielgruppe Sessions Cancellation Policy

If playgroup sessions are cancelled, there is no entitlement to a refund of the playgroup fee. If the playgroup is cancelled due to illness or accident of the leader, she will organize a replacement if the cancellation lasts longer than two consecutive playgroup half-days. If this is not possible, the playgroup remains closed. Missed hours cannot be made up and there is no entitlement to compensation or refund.

If Wonderland playgroup is cancelled or closed due to epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters, serious prevention of the team, state or local requirements, etc., no parent contributions will be refunded.

Insurance

Accident and liability insurance for the child is the responsibility of the parents. The child is not insured by the playgroup.
