Holiday Camps

Little Scientists develops and delivers engaging STEM-focused holiday camps for children aged 4-12 years. Children will spend the day learning about STEM subjects but also playing exciting games, making science experiments and having fun with their camp mates.

Languages: English and German 

Holiday Camp attendees will learn new skills every day within a fun, friendly and safe environment.

Our Holiday Camp days are modelled on the routines of schools so children will have regular intervals and play breaks throughout the day.

Morning Session: LEGO Robotics
Afternoon Session: STEM activities, Science Experiments and Computer Programming.

Additional challenges will be set to suit camper's abilities. Camp themes are different from weekly clubs and workshops.

Fees:

Morning session (09:00 to 12:00): 300 Fr + Credit Card Processing Fee*

Afternoon Session (14:00 to 17:00): 300 Fr + Credit Card Processing Fee*

Full day (09:00 to 17:00): 550 Fr + Credit Card Processing Fee*

* Prices may vary slightly depending on location due to differences in rental costs

Parents can register either for a full day or half day option.

We remind parents that the camp doors open at 09:00 and close at 17:00. Early drops and late pick ups must be arranged in advance (please contact us for more information and fees).

If Little Scientists is not informed of late collection in advance then parents  may be charged a fee equivalent to 5CHF for each 5 minutes (please check our “Drop Off and Pick Up” policy)

 

SNACKS and FOOD

Campers make a short pause for snack time during the morning session and another during the afternoon session.

From February 2023 we will be offering lunch and snacks at Serendipity Zollikon provided by Luus Muus. The cost will be 16CHF per day per child. The catering company requires at least 10 registrations to provide the food at this price. If you are interested, we ask you to fill in this form. Food will be invoiced separately.

Our snacks, lunch, and free time will be outside if weather permits.  Some locations have playgrounds and others have fields for free play. No screens allowed during breaks 🙂

FAQ

How many children will attend the camp and how many members of staff will supervise the campers?

We normally have 1 instructor for every 5-6 children for our younger students and 1 for every 7 children for the older students. We also have one instructor who moves between the groups as required to give additional help. This allows us to give the children the necessary level of attention and also allows us to take the children outside for play breaks at lunchtime safely.

Can I book Individual days?

Our camp activities use the knowledge of the previous days as the week progresses; therefore we cannot offer individual days.

What are the Covid precautions?

We follow the Kanton Zurich Guidelines and the Coronavirus protection measurements for schools. 

We encourage the children to wash their hands regularly: before and after snack or lunch or after visiting the park at lunchtime. 

Drop Off and Pick Up Policy

We remind parents that the doors of the camps open at 09:00 and that Drop Off is between 09:00 and 09:15.

Pick Up is from 11:45 to 12:00 for the morning session, and from 16:45 to 17:00 for the afternoon or full day sessions.

Early drop off and late pick up is possible but must be booked in advance and extra fees will be applied. Please contact the Little Scientists Team for more information.

If the camp is not informed in advance of late collection then parents/carers may be charged a late collection fee of 5 CHF for every 5 min over time.
