October Camp, Week 1: Superheroes & Fairy Tales Science
Embark on an enchanting journey into the captivating realms of superheroes and fairy tales at our one-of-a-kind Science Holiday Camp for young minds aged 4 to 12
Dive into a world where superheroes harness the power of science and fairy tales come alive with fun experiments! This October, our holiday camp invites young adventurers to unlock the mysteries behind their favorite stories.
In the morning, students will engage with Lego Robotics, utilizing Lego Spike Prime to construct robots. These robots will then be coded using a programming interface similar to Scratch’s block-based system or, alternatively, with Python.
By afternoon, our camp transforms into a bustling hub of imaginative science and engineering! Ever wondered about the science behind Spider-Man’s web-slinging or Iron Man’s flight? We’ll delve into the physics and chemistry that could make these superhero feats a reality. Will you use engineering principles to aid the Three Little Pigs in constructing a wolf-resistant home? Or perhaps you’ll employ the magic of time management and innovative transport solutions to ensure Cinderella doesn’t miss her midnight deadline? Whether it’s classic tales or Marvel epics, we bridge the gap between imagination and reality, showing how science plays a pivotal role in every story.
After our break, the world of coding beckons. Campers will have the chance to play with our coding robots, explore the OSMO coding set, or even design their own simple video games and narratives using Scratch. Challenges will be set according to individual abilities, ensuring everyone finds the right level of fun and engagement.
