It was a capable system, but it asked educators to supplement or compromise. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The Compelling Vision for the Future<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The vision that Mr. Saeijs, President of LEGO Education, outlines is powerful. He speaks of moving students from being mere users of technology to becoming its creators and ethical leaders. In a world being reshaped by artificial intelligence, this goal is not just aspirational; it&#8217;s a critical part of preparing young minds.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The promise of a safe, playful environment to demystify AI and build critical thinking skills is exactly the kind of forward-thinking approach we should champion.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The Ground-Level Reality: A Challenging Transition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Yet, as an organization that operates in the real world of education, where budgets are tight and resources are stretched, this announcement also brings a wave of complex practicalities.<\/p>\n\n<p>The decision to retire SPIKE Prime and Essential\u2014with direct sales ending in June 2026 and a final software support date of 2031\u2014creates a significant transition timeline. The implications are profound for any school, club, or NGO with a shelf full of SPIKE kits. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The Central Dilemma: Innovation vs. Inclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>LEGO Education has always stood at a unique intersection of play, quality, and learning. It has the potential to be a great democratizer in STEM education.
